Spin views

The Analytics Spin Views graph displays the total of spin views in your Sirv account.

Sirv tracks the number of times your spins are viewed and displays the total count on the Spin views page within your Sirv account. A "view" is counted every time the spin:ready event fires. This event fires after the images have downloaded and the spin is ready for interaction. Spins load lazily (by default), so the images will only download when the spin becomes visible within the viewport. If the spin is located lower on the page or in a gallery that isn't initially displayed, a view will not be counted until the user scrolls to it.

If a user goes to another page and returns to the original page, another spin view will be counted once the spin:ready event fires.

Storage

Use the Storage chart to see a summary of the total storage growth and historical storage usage for your Sirv account, which will help you understand how your account needs are growing over time.

Troubleshooting

If you notice an unexpected increase in bandwidth usage, check your videos have streams generated on them. Using a streamed version of your video means the relevant file size is served to the relevant User device. Also, ensure you've embedded videos on your website using Sirv code as opposed to <video> tag. This is because the <video> tag delivers the original master video to all visitors on every device (not the streamed version), which significantly impacts your bandwidth usage.
