Automation rules

All kinds of automations can be created, in many different scenarios. The most common is for an automation to start with a trigger:

  • Upload file

Then one or more of these actions would be initiated:

  • Move file
  • Rename file
  • Copy file
  • Delete file
  • Add meta description
  • Add meta SKU
  • Scale image
  • Convert image format
  • Optimize image
  • Convert video to spin
  • Convert spin to video
  • Convert model to spin
  • Generate video stream
  • Stabilize video

Automation examples

If an online store wanted to file newly uploaded images into their appropriate folder structure, they could upload appropriately named images and this rule would do the rest:

  1. If file is uploaded to this folder:
    /Incoming-photos/
  2. then move it to this folder:
    /Products/{filename_first_2_chars}/{filename_first_6_chars}/

If a car dealer wanted to stabilize and sort their videos based on the car license plate, they could upload appropriately named videos and this rule would do the rest:

  1. If video is uploaded to this folder:
    /My-New-Vehicles/
  2. then stabilize the video;
  3. and move it to this folder:
    /Vehicles/{license-plate}/
