Front-end Software Engineer, Ukraine

Enthusiastic front-end Ukrainian web developer wanted to join our UI team improving our React web app https://my.sirv.com.

In this permanent, full-time role, you’ll be in our front-end UI team working with 6 other UI developers and and UX designers. You must be both self-reliant in working through problems and work well as a collaborative part of the team.

You’ll be responsible for building new capabilities such as:

  • New image editing interface.
  • Powerful new charts, to reveal valuable user interaction insights.
  • Useful AI for image customisation and image identification.
  • 360 image hotspot configurator.
  • User role and permissions customisation.

These and other challenging projects will push your boundaries as you learn as part of our capable, experienced team.

You should be passionate and knowledgeable about web development, React, HTML, CSS and the platforms/browsers they run on.

You should be a motivated engineer with at least 3 years production experience developing websites, applications or plugins.

This role requires a quality-oriented approach, from someone passionate about relentless refinement of the user experience. Over 30,000 users, including some of the world’s largest companies, will be using your interface.

Responsibilities

  1. Build the next generation of the http://my.sirv.com/ interface.
  2. Write clean, light code to permit fast loading.
  3. Push the boundaries to provide the best possible user experience.
  4. Work closely and productively with other members of your team.
  5. Thoroughly test new version of tools on all browsers and devices.
  6. Collaborate with our wider product team to plan new features.

Necessary skills

  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript
  • 3 years+ production experience with HTML and CSS
  • Comfortable with using React
  • Comfortable developing on the Linux production environment
  • Comfortable with scripted environments and command-line tools, including Git
  • Passionate about high-quality, maintainable code
  • Example of at least one project that:
    • Utilizes React
    • Utilizes HTML5 Canvas API
    • Utilizes vanilla JS
  • Good command of written English

Location

This is a full-time, remote position for a Ukrainian living either in Ukraine or overseas.

Salary

Your monthly salary will be determined by your previous experience and expected contribution to the team.
