Our past
Founded in 2007 in Oxford, United Kingdom, our goal was to bring product images to life online.
Our first creation is now the world’s longest established image zoom tool, Magic Zoom. Extended into a full suite of rich image viewers for 360 spin, slideshow and image galleries, our larger customers Walmart, Tesco, Carrefour, Toyota and Sony were asking to do more with their images.
Sirv was born. A radical new image hosting platform, with the capability needed to serve the world’s largest retailers.
Our future
Having successfully grown Sirv into the complete image processing platform for business, our next major development will be ever greater degrees of automation and intelligence. Driven by our customers’ goals, Sirv is creating new tools to deliver richer experiences, even faster loading and deeper levels of creative control.

Why Sirv?
We built Sirv because images deserve special treatment. They’ve long been neglected, despite accounting for 60% of all web traffic. Image processing provides a huge opportunity for all websites and apps.
Images provide a sites’ emotion. Engaging users. Portraying a brands’ personality. Every time an image is served that is not perfectly suited to that users device, their experience is dampened. Would you knowingly serve an image twice as large as it needs to be? Why serve anything but the most optimal image format? Why serve a low-res image to a high-res display?

CEO
An entrepreneur from an early age, Jake leads Sirv towards its long term vision. A rich ecommerce history since 1998, Jake built and sold a successful web agency, followed by an ecommerce platform, acquired by British Telecom. His solutions have been deployed by global brands including Coca-Cola, Mars and Virgin.

A rare ability to align customer needs and business goals for the most optimal solution, Oleksii applies first principles methodology to Sirv’s platform architecture. Responsible for the performance and availability of Sirv, his team ensures your images are delivered faster than ever.
