Sirv was designed for rapid mass-processing of images. It can even process giant gigapixel images e.g. 40,000px by 25,000px.
Using Sirv for Gigapixel images
If you plan to host gigapixel images on Sirv, please contact us to discuss your requirements. Processing a gigapixel image as a deep Sirv Zoom requires a very heavy one-time processing load. It’s possible that gigapixel images might breach the processing allowance of your account or lead to throttling. If we understand your needs in advance, we can adjust your account limits accordingly.
To manage load effectively, Sirv has a 32MB file size limit. If your images exceed that size, you should also let us know so that your account limits can be reviewed.
Tip: We recommend that you upload images of at least 4000px width for a good quality image zoom and a bare minimum of 2500px. Screen resolution is growing rapidly, with some screens already above 5000px width. Professional DSLR cameras can shoot 8,000px width images, so future-proof your images by uploading high-res versions to Sirv.
